DLSU Lady Spikers: On A Roll!

DLSU Lady Spikers proved to be the much stronger team against the NU Lady Bulldogs, scores are: 25-11, 25-14 and 25-9. Three DLSU spikers come in double digits, Jacquelin Alarca lead the pack for the third time with 15 points, as Charleehn Cruz and Stephanie Mercado have 10 points apiece. Sophomores Abigail Maraño, Joanne Siy, and Michelle Gumabao have added a total of 17 points for the team, while freshmens Mikaela Esperanza and Cyd Demecillo have contributed four more points to win over NU in three sets again.
While over to the side of NU, Maricar Nepomuceno was the lone bright star with 8 points. Mervic Mangui had 6, as Rialen Sante and Elaine Sagun have 5 points to their names. Carmina Aganon added 2, as Lucille Bayron with her 1 point to the game.

DLSU Lady Spikers too hot for UP Lady Maroons

DLSU Lady Spikers continue to dominate this season with a firing squad as they won in three sets again: 25-17, 25-12, 25-13. Jacqueline Alarca led the squad with 12 hits, as Stephanie Mercado and Abigail Marano contributed with 10, Michelle Gumabao tripped in 7, Charleehn Cruz with 5, Cyd Domecillo with 4, Mikaela Esperanza with 3 and Alexandra Tan with 1.

For the Lady Maroons, their lone bright spot was captain Carmela Lopez with 8 points. Her back-ups were: Angelli Araneta with 6, Southlyn Ramos with 3, Eileen Quejas, Pauline Genido and Denise Data with 2 points apiece, as Princess Se and Sarah Palad chipped in 1 point individually.

Ateneo strikes back over NU

Ateneo finally gets its first win by trouncing NU yesterday, scores are: 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 26-24. The 'spark plug', also known as the 'ELLA-vator' J.orella/ Ella De Jesus topscored the Lady Blue Eagles with her 18 points. Behind De Jesus's support are Fille Cainglet with 13, Bea Pascual & Gretchen Ho with 8, Kara Acevedo with 7, Angeline Gervacio with 6, and Rongomaipapa Ahomiro with 3 points. The notable points came from captain Jamenea Ferrer with 4 points, all coming from service aces, and even rookies Aereal Patnongon and libero Denise Lazaro with one point apiece.
Over to the NU's side, Mervic Mangui fired with 16 points, Maricar Nepomuceno & Rialen Sante with 11 points, Lucille Bayron with 10 points, Elaine Sagun with 5 points and Jocelyn Soliven with 2 points.

DLSU Lady Spikers unleashes super powers against AdU Lady Falcons

DLSU Lady Spikers unleash too much power against the formidable Adamson Lady Falcons by winning in three convincing sets, scores are: 25-14, 25-13, and 25-15. Four La Salle players come out in double digits: Jacqueline Alarca with 13, Stephanie Mercado with 12, Charleehn Abigaile Cruz with 11, and Abigail Marano with 10. New Utility Spiker Michelle Gumabao fired with 7, as new setter Mikaela Esperanza with 2 points.

For Adamson, captain Angela Benting with 9 points, as Paulina Soriano added 4 points. Angelica Quinlog was narrowed with 3, while Lourdes Patilano and Shiela Pineda with 2 points apiece for Adamson.

UST survived a scare from Ateneo in a thrilling five-setter match

UST Lady Tigresses survived a scare from Ateneo in a five-setter match, scores are: 25-13, 18-25, 19-25, 26-24, and 15-13. Aiza Maizo proved to be the leader for UST as she scored a whooping 30 points. For the rest of the team, here are their individual points: Maruja Banaticla with 10, Maika Ortiz with 8, Rhea Dimaculangan and Judy Caballejo with 7, as rookie Midori Hirotsuji with 3, and Valerie Amar with her lone one point.

As for Ateneo, former captain Kara Acevedo is the leading scorer with 15 points, second in line is the 'spark plug' and the 'surprise' 1st year player Jorella De Jesus with 14. Mainstays Fille Cainglet unloaded with 14, Bea Pascual with 10, Gretchen Ho with 7, Angeline Gervacio with 4, and finally, newly-elected team captain Jamenea Ferrer with 3.

NU surprises FEU in the opening game of UAAP Season 73

NU's heart & experience paved way as they surprised FEU by winning the opening game in four sets, scores are: 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, and finally, 25-21. NU Lady Bulldog's team captain Mervic Mangui was the best player of the game with a praisable 17 points (coming from 15 attacks and 2 service aces). Backing up Mangui from the rest of the team are Maricar Nepomuceno and Carmina Aganon with 9 points apiece. As Rialen Sante with 8, Elaine Sagun with 7, Lucille Bayron with 3, and Jocelyn Soliven with 2 points to wrapped up the Lady Bulldogs.

For the side of FEU, rookie Rosemarie Vargas proved not to be a rookie after all, as she is the top-scorer with 18 points. Veteran Mecaila Irish Morada unloaded with 10, Kathlene Magsumbol with 7, setter Gyzelle Sy with 5, Mayjorie Roxas with 3, while Marie Toni Basas and Danna Henson with 1 point apiece for FEU.

UAAP SEASON 73 Beach Volleyball Men's Finals Round: FEU vs. UST

It was a firing game for FEU as Arvin Avila exploded with 22 points, while Nestor Molate added 10 points to grab the crown from defending champions, UST Growling Tigers. Surprisingly, UST doesn't put too much effort as Henry Pecaña hits 11 points, while Harby Ilano have only 9 points to his name.
